Hi Sylvia
Unfortunately I don't have a photo of my setup, but it's pretty straighforward as well, I'll answer next to your questions, below:
I also have the D54250WYKH with an SSD installed and no mSATA. Windows 8.1 Pro is my OS. The problem I have is that my Logitech K400r wireless keyboard/mouse combo is extremely unresponsive from anything more than 2-3 feet away if plugged into any of the USB ports on the device itself.
My Bios version is: WYLPT10H.86A.0030.2014.0919.1139
- SA#'s of the NUCs with the problem -- I don't have this with me at the moment, I'll PM it to you when I get home. (10:09 AM here in New Zealand)
- Description of the NUC placement - cabling. -- My NUC is on the TV stand, right at the front, so there is nothing in the way that can interfere, physically, at least. Hooked up to my ONKYO receiver via HDMI and Ethernet going into my switch, nothing else.
- what it's next to it? -- My center channel speaker, a few inches away.
- NUC’s orientation (horizontal, vertical) -- Horizontal, but I have tried vertical and placing it in different spots. No difference.
I also read that some people said that some people thought it would be the power supply that caused interference. I'm not so sure about that, because I hooked up my old HTPC (Xtreamer Ultra 2) and put it right next to the NUC, used the K400r keyboard on the Xtreamer and it worked perfectly from about 10 feet away, with the NUC powered on and running next to it.
Thanks again for looking into this.
Regards
Riaan
