Hit the search icon top right and type in "flickering" in the search field.
Given how many threads and posts have been reporting this issue over a long period of time it suggests intel do not care or are incapable of rectifying the issues.

Thanks Intel graphics driver v4771_BN and BIOS 52 has solved the flickering problem at 4K 60Hz on my NUC7i5BNH.
I was also getting blackouts for a second (once a day) so I will continue to test for a week to conclude whether our problem has completely been solved or not.
Thanks again and my NUC is finally usable after nearly 2 months from date of purchase.
PS: I have realized that my i5 NUC is less powerful than my iPad Pro 10.5"
Good for you man.
Keep an eye on it, my experience is that it will work fine for long periods of time then return with a vengeance. My machine is always on.
Sometimes after it's occurred the driver drops the resolution which makes the flickering go away but the image looks like arse running in non native resolution.
Good luck
You folks need to step up your support. Be happy you have a job and take it seriously. All responses here are not good.
Here's the facts:
1. Microsoft has settings to allow auto-login when booting up a system. Settings in Windows (Windows 10 in this case)
2. Microsoft has settings to allow resume from hibernate and skip logging in. Setting in Windows.
3. Microsoft has settings to allow resume from sleep and skip logging in. Setting in Windows.
4. And this is the important one. Intel, if you are familiar with the technology, came out with what's called Ready Mode. It's an Intel only technology, used in Intel only equipment, and isn't something that most people have or use. It's software you install and built, that support hardware support you build. You folks need to be able to add in the ability to skip login when coming out of YOUR Ready Mode.
Steve
Fred,
Main problem with your response is two fold:
1. if I go to Intel® NUC Kit NUC7i3BNK and scroll down, the ecosystem link on that page shows the two remote i bought as acceptable. Doesn't matter if there is another list, or the link is wrong, I purchased the above remotes and now can not return them because of your website. So intel needs go take the 30 seconds its going to take to add these remote codes to the bios. Heck I'll even tell you what the codes are.
2. If I did buy one of these remotes, is intel going to pay for them? or pay when it doesn't work based on the others responses? I can tell from the responses from others here this is a hot item not getting resolved. Either you folks have to sell a remote with it or support more than one power on code whatever that is.
Let me know if you are going to fix this, just say the link was wrong, or something else. if you aren't going to take the small effort it would take to add a couple IR codes to the bios, after the last bios update had like nothing in it, let me know how Intel can help facilitate returning at least the NUC to Amazon. Its past the month return period so cant return it and without a working remote is useless for its need.
thanks
Steve
I returned the unit on the last day it could be returned without questions.
I was very sorry to do that because I believe it's a nice silent box with a good price point.
However, the flickering was intolerable and I also had an issue with my wireless keyboard/mouse USB receiver. If the USB receiver was directly plugged in the NUC, I had very poor (1m) range and stuttering mouse movement.
The latter is more critical than the flickering issue, as its obviously bad hardware design and as such, can not be remedied by a software update.
Well hopefully they will do something though I see the same issue in my other thread. Let's try and look at this as we are customers who need help, the Intel reps work at a decent company and understand the value of their job and want to help. After all, if not, start pondering in general why sit in a job you aren't making a difference in.
For what it's worth, if you can use this IR hex format:
So here's the thing. To make this right, all you would have to do is have your developers find where they have the 0x800f0429 code in the bios, and add listening on 0x800f740c and if you really want to add the HP RC6 commands as well. Not sure how standard the HP ones are.
Thanks.
Steve
Hi,
Just installed Win 7 Pro on a NUC5CPYH. Installed all the Intel and Windows ugrades bu the SD card reader does not show up. The bios shows the sd drive as disabled but the window is greyed out so I can't click to enable it. Any ideas? The only big change I did to install Win 7 was put in a patch to enable usb 3.0 in win 7. Thanks
ok you win
the old router was still running and turning it off solved the problem
it was on 2.4 GHZ so i assumed it can never interfer
now i am getting varied performance ranging from 300 and up to 700 Mbps
is there any recommendation for settings in adapter or router other than this page:
Recommended Settings for 802.11ac Connectivity
also it changes alot through the range between 300 and 700 without changing anything
why do you think that happens?
thanks for your help
Hello,
Here you will find instruction how to replace the CMOS battery:CMOS Battery on the Intel® NUC . And yes, it is quite complicated, since you need to remove the board from the case - the battery is located on the board upper site. Following the Intel's instructions, you can do this by your self (without waiting for service center).
You need a coin-cell battery (CR2032). You need battery with pig-tile and connector. This is example of such battery: 1 CMOS Battery CR2032 For HP Pavilion DV6000 DV6100 DV6200 DV6300 DV6500 DV9000 | eBay . There is a lot other suppliers online.
I'm attaching an image of the board side with the CMOS battery.
Hope this will help
Leon
Did you read the documentation? I guess not.
The SD Card Reader is NOT supported with Windows 7. There is no device driver to support its operation on Windows 7; that's why it is (automatically) disabled when you choose Windows 7 in Visual BIOS.
Sorry,

lol, documentation? The last computer I bought that came with documentation was my Kaypro 2 :-)
But thanks for the heads up. I'm wondering if I change the bios setting to windows 8 if it will blow up or freeze. One way to find out. Fortunately a usb card reader works fine so it's little more than an inconvenience. I appreciate your response!
Billy
If you set it to Windows 8/8.1/10, it will leave the SD Card Reader enabled, but since there is no device driver to support the device, you still won't be able to use it...

as I discovered seconds before you replied. Thanks again.
No he conseguido visualizar nada todavía. Me gustaría saber que puedo hacer para resolver este problema.
Muchas gracias.
Remove 3 screws holding down heatsink/blower unit and 4 screws holding down board. Carefully pry up front edge of board along front panel edge.

How to do that without damage?
I remove all 7 screws from fan and motherboard, but something else holds them. I only can lift a bit fan from one side.
What should be removed earlier, fan or motherboard? I see some wires at top side (under face plate):
What must i do with them? Wifi-module are soldered.
Hello Fred,
many thanks for your response.
I tried the charge issue - without any change.
Although I tried to use other plugs and cables - no change.
If I unplug everything from NUC (HDMI, keyborad, mouse, power supply) and leave the speakers connected only: I get the noise.
My speakers are BOSE Companion 2 (3.5 plug - cinch connection). But I can reproduce the same problem with a HAMA DIR 3100 where I use the Aux In (3.5 plug-3.5 plug connection.
I can use a Laptop with power supply and without and use the speakers - no problem.
It is clear for me that it is ground loop (dt. "Masseschleife") problem that is due to NUC.
My actual solution is to switch the speakers off with the NUC. This works, but during turn off and on phases there are situations where the speakers still produce loud (short) noise.
As I want to use the speakers for a second device, it is not the optimal solution.
May be you have further ideas.
Many thanks and best regrads
Gerhard
Hello MNBadger,
many thanks for your ideas. I tried several things during weekend. Please see also my response to INTEL (Fred).
I actually turn the speakers off as you suggested, but it is not satisfying.
I would like to try the ground wire connection you mentioned. I would use a power supply plug and connect a cable to "ground", but where can I connect it at NUC?
Many thanks and best regards
Gerhard
