Yup, sorry for those I gave a sign of hope. It worked for me for the better part of the day, but after succesfully entering sleeping state a few times and the LEDs corresponding to it correctly, I'm now stuck with stuck LEDs again. Don't know why it worked all those times before and now it doesn't, bar from using Kodi and entering sleep mode from there. That's when they got stuck again. I've just put all LEDs into manual in the BIOS. At least that seems to work with sleep mode. Intel really needs to test its software (and hardware) better and address the issues eveyone seem to have.

I installed the latest driver today from Download Radeon* Graphics Driver for Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i7HNK, NUC8i7HVK and it's working perfectly as far as I can tell!

Looks like after much testing that Kingston sent me two bad sticks in a row. I purchased an Intel stick and haven't had any further issues. Sorry to waste your time. Thanks for your help.

As I have already given my NUC to a friend who has no 4K monitor, I am not able to reproduce the issue any more.

I remember that my NUC installed

1) Windows 10 (with the latest update)

2) Chrome (Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit))

HW configuration is mentioned as the above.

After using Firefox, the trouble disappeared.

This issue should be an trouble with weird configuration specific under Intel HD Graphics + Chrome + 4K display.

Maybe someone have already tried that - i'm trying to install vmware esxi 6.7 standard to intel nuc box that I have just purchased.

Setup starts - all is fine until it goes to loading all modules, and then after that i get an error message that says:

Shutting down firmware services...

Using 'Simple offset' UEFI RTS mapping policy.

And at this moment device becomes unresponsive, and i cannot do anything unless reset with a power button, I've tried disabling UEFI security - that didn't work.

Maybe someone have any ides about this?

I have disabled 2381 Intel Display audio(not sure if it's needed if you have audio on Thunderbolt Port, I only have My Display on Thunderbolt)

SHARP TV on HDMI is set as my Default Communication Device and Default Device.

I also Disabled Realtek Audio.

I have a small USB soundbar attached to a USB port on the back via a 7 port USB HUB that also does WEBCAM(microphone input device)wireless Logitech Combo and printer.

The speaker is also enabled.

The system automatically switches between TV and USB speaker(if TV is on it always becomes the sound device but you can select USB speaker if someone is watching TV)

If TV is off USB speaker is selected on start, turn on TV and it becomes available in the sound menu.

I tried all kinds of settings for a few days but is now set up like this for three full days and not a single miss.

As an added bonus I used to loose  Icons on the TV Taskbar but that problem is also gone.

Computer Monitor on Thunderbolt to HDMI cable (USBC to HDMI Samsung Galaxy 8 Cable)

TV on 15Meter HDMI High speed cheap(15 Dollar) Flat cable.

HDMI TV is Extended Display.

I don't think Realtek Audio had anything to do with it in the end, But I ave now Disabled The Realtek Audio Device in control panel anyway.( i just had an update to the Realtek software today and installed it :o) don't want to disobey Intel)

Every thing is working fine I'm sure that disabling2381 Intel Display Audio did the trick for me.

Not sure what 2381 is used for but it certainly does not seem to affect the way I'm set up

The power button menu appears, but F4 with a thumb drive in one of the ports just reboots the machine.

Should I try F7? Or the Security Jumper?

So today after the displays had been turned off, when I woke the screens one came back at the wrong resolution and could not be set to the native 2560x1440. Unplugging and plugging back in resolved the issue, but I continue to get messages about "display connection might be limited" from windows when the monitors connect.

Unplugging and plugging back in can also cause the issue to occur.
