NUC DN2820FYKH power on by xbox one remote

$

Hello!

I have NUC DN2820FYKH with OpenElec installed and XBOX One media remote.

Everything works fine except power on or wake up NUC with my remote.

I have found similar problem here D54250WYK Not powering on by MCE remote

and BIOS update helped in that situation.

Is there any beta bios for my NUC or can I do something else?

Thanks!

Is there a tutorial on how to replace a broken wireless antenna connector?

I was wondering why my wireless would kinda connect.  It was basically unusable.

One of my antennas got pinched where the case screws in and is now cut in two.

I want to be able to get under the mother board and replace this.  I want to do it right though; I don't want to mess things up more than I have.

Thanks for joining the NUC community.

Yes, Dual Channel memory applies to an Intel(R) NUC, therefore, it should be enough for the two memory SODIMS from same manufacturer.

Thanks for joining the NUC community.

Does this issue happen if you try an earlier BIOS version?

You may try File name:WY0028.BIO

Download the file and place on USB thumb drive, once booting, start pressing F7.

Also, I recommend checking cables, please try using different Display Port cable.

Audio recording device in D54250WYKH

Is there no audio recording device in intel nuc D54250WYK?

Re: USB-power stays on when device is off

Hi Crusey83,

Hmmm.... when we tested here, we only saw this issue happen on DN2820FYKH and DE3815TYKHE, never on the D54250WYK NUCs. Also, the fact that you have to unplug and replug the drive for Windows to see it makes me think this might be a different issue.

I'll need a bit more information about your particular configuration to test again and follow-up with engineering:

- Make/model/part number of the USB 3.0 drive you have
- Do ALL external USB (both USB 2.0 and 3.0) drives exhibit the issue (if you have more to test with)?
- If there is USB 3.0 drive firmware involved, is it up-to-date?
- Does it make any difference as to which USB port on the NUC you plug into?
- In the NUC BIOS, under the Devices & Peripherals > USB menu, what are the settings you have for USB Legacy and the USB ports?

Thanks,

Lois

Re: Windows 7 stop errors for Intel N2820 due to Intel USB 3.0 driver

Using BIOS Version 0041 I still get Windows 7 stop errors (blue screens) using USB3.0 Version 3.0.0.33 Driver. So I de-installed the USB 3.0 Driver again and system works so far.

Hello, I am using windows 8 and not windows 7. Is there anything I can do to record audio in win 8 as it says no recording device found.

A late reply, but I have reached a conclusion. It seems that the power adapter is sensitive to noise. My device is noise free at the cabin and in my new house, but the static came back every time i connected it at my old apartment. I have tested now with six different receivers (HK. Onkyo, Pioneer, Yamaha, NAD and another Onkyo). My power supply adapter har part number 9NA0652101, if there are others they may be better.

This seems to be an issue caused by interference from USB 3.0 on 2.4 GHz devices. Please take a look into section 4.3 Wireless Antenna Placement of this document: USB 3.0* Radio Frequency Interference on 2.4 GHz Devices

You may use a USB extension cable to move the wireless transmitter away from the USB 3.0 port.

Excellent.  Please let me know if the issue returns, but I hope it won’t.

Maybe there is some misunderstanding, but to me this is far from excellent. I went through a lot of efforts in order to identify the USB 3.0 driver as the root cause for the Windows 7 stop errors (BSOD) and in the end the only solution is to use the standard USB 2.0 driver. As a consequence data transfer to my external hard disk is much slower. I still hope that  eventually Intel can fix the USB 3.0 driver issue.

Hello Joe,

BIOS version is wylpt10h.86a.0030.eb.

I'm not sure how to attach a file, so following this note is a copy of dxdiag.  Following that is a copy of the Intel HD Graphics Report.

Thanks and best regards

Re: Problem to connect wireless keyboard and mouse to the USB3 connections

Sylvia

Thanks for your response.  This is a problem for me though.  I really like the NUC, it's a great little device that fulfills many of my HTPC needs, however, having a cable dangling from it just to make a wireless keyboard work is a problem for me.  Like I said earlier, my old HTPC (the Xtreamer Ultra 2) had no issues with any of my wireless keyboards plugged into the USB3 ports.  The NUC has problems with every single wireless keyboard and mouse I have tried.

Could you advise me how I can take this further with Intel?  Do you know whether this problem will be resolved in the upcoming NUC release?  Can I get a refund or replacement unit since I've only had the NUC for under two months?

Many thanks

Riaan
